Vigilant Guard 2016

On July 29th our UAS Team participated in Vigilant Guard 2016, a statewide catastrophic event exercise. The UAS Team collected imagery of "damaged" bridges and roads as part of a simulated flood. A broad range of products including videos, oblique photos, orthorectified imagery, and 3D models were provided to emergency managers within hours of the team being activated. For our summer UAS intern, Matthew Mitchell, this marked the cumulation of weeks of hard work developing expertise in a wide-range of UAS technologies.
